Golf in Asia and the popular golf product

Golf is not new to Asia, and has been popular with more and more common people. People can easily find some most challenging and attracting golf courses are springing up throughout the continent. Relevantly, Asian players have edged into the spotlight. Among these, Yani Tseng who is from Chinese Taipei, took the spot in the women's world ranking on Feb 13. And this was occurred 18 months after Korean Yang Yong-eun won a major title as the first Asian man with his triumphant achievement at the 2009 PGA Championship.

When he was at the post-match conference, he told the journalists challengingly that he would let the world know that there was professional golf in China. Though his words seemed a litter provoking, actually it was undergone in a light-hearted moment with serious sentiments.

In his later interview, he said he was joking a little, but he was indeed serious. He just wanted to let the world know that in China there has some brilliant golf players.

He added that golf was a young sport in China and it had a short history of less than 30 years. Chinese golf still had a long way to go and had a lot to learn from the US and Europe.

The beginning of Liang's golf career was so intricate and it's really different from the successful golfers. These golfers acquired their clubs and were inspired by big names at an early age.

Actually, Liang is a decedent of a peasant in Guangdong province, China. He spent most of his childhood in the field, helping his parents do some easy farm work, such as sowing and gathering some peanut crops. In his leisure time, he had nothing to do but fish in the ditches.

Not surprisingly , he could have followed his father's suit, being a farmer, or followed the tides of his peers to be a migrant worker in the big cities nearby.

But he hit a good fortune. When he was in the secondary school, he was picked by the first golf club on the Chinese mainland which was built in his hometown.

Liang persevered in the demanding training though many trainees had dropped out. He took painstakingly to improve his skill in golf. As he had built on so firm base of playing golf, it's no surprise that he is now becoming a rising star on the word golf stage.
